Pole Dancing Grip Powder For Greater Success}

Submitted by: Pat Munro

When it comes to pole dancing, grip is the most important strength feature which you cannot improve with practice. Think for a moment about the contact area between you and the pole. Each pole dancing position has contact between you and the pole on different surfaces of skin. Each of these contact areas must grip the pole in varying ways in order to continue through to the next pose. Pole dancing is a fluid dance which must be peformed in continuous movement with differing degrees of difficulty. Improving your grip of the pole on all skin surfaces can be accomplished with grip powders. A really good grip powder is made using thermoplastics which react to body heat and provide improved grip and inhibits sweat and chaffing. Thermoplastic grip powders lasts for hours and easily washes off with soap and water.

The following are some popular pole dancing moves with instruction as to where the bodys grip is applied. For best use of the grip powder it may be wise to use it on areas that are used to contact the pole such as legs, arms, feet, and hands. This will surely help when moving from one dance move to another.

Batman pose In the upside down flat pose position, grip tighter with legs and release your hands. Hang for a moment from your legs, then slide down the pole pole with an arched back in a curved position. The grip powder will allow you to both grip and then slide without catching.

Climb and splits Climbing pole, stopping there to secure grip by straightening & tightening legs before sliding down into jazz splits. Once again its all about the grip plus slide.

Swan To get momentum walk round pole, inside arm really high & firmly gripped onto the pole, step on outside leg & bring inside leg in front of pole & hook knee to pole, then complete one-handed forward spin. Twisting around the pole requires the grip and slip technique as well.

Showgirl Climb pole, both legs wrapped around it, with the dominant arm in a stabilizing position while extending other arm gracefully. Then detach one leg from pole-grip in similar extension and slide down in this one leg/one arm pose. This move requires both grip strength and fluidity of movement.

Hip Spin First, grab pole firmly with outside arm high & inside arm low, pull with upper & push with lower hands together while kicking off floor with legs, bending them around pole in cocoon-spinning position, with your tummy flat against the pole. Grip chalk can also be applied to the bare midriff in order to gain a little more leverage.

Vampire Climb pole & adopt sitting position with crossed legs, then grip pole between thighs before letting go with hands & leaning backwards to hang in that position. Trusting your grip strength with this pose can be daunting without a little added help from the grip powder.

Two-handed coil – Start with the secondary side closest to pole, grip with both hands & kick legs forward, then while swinging back, coil body round pole to spin. This move requires a lot of hand grip strength to hold your body in place, then enough slide in order to spin around the pole.

As you can see, a good grip on many parts of your body will help with the necessary pole dancing positions required for fun or competition. It is necessary in pole dancing to gain grip strength while practicing in order to begin to trust yourself and move on to the next position. Without a good grip powder, the practice time will be greater and you may hurt yourself in the process. Preventing anything negative in the process of getting stronger and more in shape will surely lead to a lifetime of fun and good health.

Australia Votes 2007: Labor releases tax plan

Friday, October 19, 2007

Wikinews Australia has in-depth coverage of this issue: Election 2007

Labor has released its tax plan, following the announcement from the Liberal/National coalition that they would provide tax cuts costing AU$34 billion if re-elected. The government has placed pressure on Labor since their announcement on Monday, urging Mr Rudd to release the opposition’s tax plan.

Under Labor’s system, the government’s planned tax cuts for Australians earning more than $180,000 per year would be scrapped, saving $3 billion. The savings would be spent on health and education for working families.

Speaking in Canberra today, Mr Rudd announced that if elected he would spend $2.3 billion on tax rebates for parents with children in primary and secondary schools. The refunds would be available to those who are eligible for Family Tax Benefit A. Mr Rudd claims the plan would be available to around two million children.

A Rudd government would offer a 50 percent education rebate to parents, up to $750 per child for primary school aged children and up to $1500 for children in secondary school. The rebate could be used for a variety of purchases but not for school fees. Mr Rudd said the rebate would help to equip children for the digital age.

“If mum and dad are spending money on buying a laptop, spending money on buying a home computer, spending money on … purchasing internet connection, education software printers and books, those expenditures, (they) will be eligible to claim the 50 per cent education tax refund that we are putting forward,” Mr Rudd said.

“We need to equip our young people with the skills necessary to participate in the digital economy of the 21st century.”

Mr Rudd vigorously denied that he rushed the plan out after the government’s announcement. “We have been working on this education tax refund for the better part of four, five months,” Mr Rudd told reporters.

Labor would spend $400 million of the savings on Labor’s national health reform plan, while the remaining $200 million would go to the budget surplus.

Under the health reform plan, an elective surgery strategy would be implemented with the aim of reducing waiting times. Mr Rudd said the waiting times experienced by some Australians were unacceptable.

“We intend … to establish through the use of other funds as well a plan which would create a national elective-surgery strategy to reduce waiting times across the nation,” Mr Rudd said.

About 25,000 Australians are on waiting lists for elective surgery despite having passed the clinically acceptable waiting period, he said.

“That’s unacceptable,” he said.

Mr Rudd also said that Labor would embrace tax reform by flattening the number of tax rates from four to three, at 15, 30 and 40 percent by 2012-13. This contrasts to the government’s planned tax cuts bringing rates to 15, 30, 25 and 40 percent.

If Labor is elected, those paying the highest tax rate would pay around $10 a week more than they would under a Howard government. Mr Rudd said that he was not waging a class war and believed those paying the top tax rate wouldn’t mind investing in the country.

“If you’re on $180 grand and more, as people like myself are, I don’t think you really need it just now,” said Mr Rudd.

“What I say instead is that most people in that bracket wouldn’t mind an investment going into bridging the digital divide for the whole country.”

“If we were waging some sort of class warfare, we wouldn’t be in the business of outlining the long term goals that we’ve put forward – a flattening, prospectively, of the tax system down to three rates rather than four with a top marginal tax rate of 40.”

The government has criticised the plan, with Treasurer Peter Costello claiming that Mr Rudd copied “91.5 percent” of their tax policy. He accused the opposition of never having a tax plan.

“Mr Rudd talks about education – if he’d have brought his exam paper in after copying 91.5 per cent of the answers from the student sitting next to him, he would have got an F for fail.”

The Treasurer said that it would be unlikely that a Rudd government could deliver tax cuts as it could not manage the economy well enough to deliver them.

“Unless you can manage the Australian economy, these tax cuts will not be deliverable,” he said.

“Mr Rudd and Mr Swan do not understand the Australian economy. This is entirely clear from the fact they have spent four days copying 91.5 per cent of our tax plan.”

Mr Costello said that a Rudd government would have a dilemma if elected, in that he could not follow the coalition’s policies.

“He never had a tax policy,” Mr Costello said.

“He hadn’t done the work, five days after our tax policy, his great contribution to the tax debate in this country is to say ‘me too, but’.”

“The trouble with ‘me too, but’ is, it’s OK for Mr Rudd to say ‘me too, I’ll be like Howard and Costello and adopt their policies’, but if he gets in Howard and Costello won’t be there writing the policies.”

Mr Costello said that when Kevin Rudd runs out of ideas, the union movement would step in to provide guidance. “So who is going to say ‘me to, but’ to them? I think the union movement will be giving him a few ideas,” said Mr Costello.

How You Can Increase Your Tax Refund In Tracy Ca

byadmin

A Tax Refund Tracy CA can put a smile on your face by giving you a little extra money to spend or allow you to save up or catch up on debt. Everybody loves getting a check in the mail, but few know how to increase the money they get as a tax refund each year. One of the ways with which you can increase our tax refund if you are employed on a full time basis is to reduce the number of exemptions on your tax form so as to increase the amount of your income withheld in taxes during each payday. This will allow you to collect a bigger tax refund at the end of the year. Another way to reduce your tax bill is to donate to charitable organizations so as to increase the amount of tax deductions on your income.

If you are required to purchase a piece of equipment for your job from your personal income, you can claim a tax refund provided the company does not reimburse you the money you spent. For instance, if you use your personal mobile phone for work-related reasons, you can have the work-related phone expenses deducted as part of your income tax so as to increase the tax deductions on your income.

The same is also true for of any professional dues you incur such as paying a fee to join a worker’s union or professional organization. Another brilliant way to increase your Tax Refund Tracy CA is to review your filing status. If you get divorced or lose your spouse, that will effectively change your status filing and make you eligible for a significant amount as a tax refund. Any change in your status as the head of your household or as a single individual should also be reported to a professional accountant.

By deducting familial obligations such as alimony and expenses on a dependent child, you can increase the amount deducted from your income and therefore increase your tax refund.

10,000 refuse to pay U.S. taxes to protest Iraq war

Sunday, April 16, 2006

An estimated 10,000 conscientious objectors chose to withhold some or all of their U.S. income taxes due Monday, April 17, in protest to the use of US military power in Iraq. Some plan to instead donate their required tax to charity.

The Internal Revenue Service does not distinguish tax resistors from any other person behind on their taxes, and will apply the same fines and interest used against the other Americans who do not pay their taxes on time. Legal action is possible for extreme cases, but more commonly the IRS uses wage or bank account garnishing.

The tax protestors are well aware of these risks, yet refuse to pay on principle. Jim Allen, who served in the Army for 20 years and now teaches at St. Louis University, acknowledges that he will likely end up paying more due to the fines than he is refusing to pay today. “I am not opposed to paying taxes, but I am when such a large percent is going to pay for war. Sooner or later, they’re going to get their money, but until that happens, I’m going to continue protesting. This is too important not to.” Allen and his wife withheld $1300 – or 42% of what the couple owes the IRS, estimating this to be the proportion of his taxes that would otherwise go to military spending.

Other protestors simply refuse to file at all. Becky Pierce of Boston fills out a 1040 to determine her tax, but then donates that amount to charity without filing. Pierce says she follows in the footsteps of American protesters like Henry David Thoreau, a protester of the Mexican-American War who went to jail rather than pay taxes. “You need to have control of your money,” Pierce says. “I’m a self-employed carpenter. No one is reporting what I make. That’s why I can go unnoticed.”

‘Invitational Games for the Deaf, Taipei 2008’ comes to an close

Saturday, September 13, 2008

After the table tennis event concluded, medalists from the martial art events (taekwondo, karate and judo) were confirmed on the September 8, third match day of “Invitational Games for the Deaf, Taipei 2008.”

Except for steady performances from the host Chinese Taipei team during the karate and taekwondo events, European athletes battled East Asian (Japan and South Korea) athletes. During the third match day, Korea’s Sukchan Yun ever defeated Turkey’s Kayaci Ibrahim within only 6 seconds in men’s 90.1 kg to 100 kg class. It was the shortest match in the judo event.

On the final day, Sept. 10, the top four teams from the soccer event competed for medals, despite bad weather in Taipei.

The gold medal match took place between Japan and Thailand. In the 20th minute, Japan’s Hisashi Hosomi scored first. But during the added time of the first half, Thailand’s Somsak Thongdee tied the game 1-1. After the start of the second half, Thailand straightened their offense, and in the 60th minute, Thailand captain Anothai Sathiyamat scored a goal, which proved to be the game winner.

In the bronze medal match between Iran and Australia, Iran defeated Australia with a 8-0 shutout. Mostafa Heydaribondarabadi, Hosseinali Mohammadi Firouzjaei, Mazaher Shirzad Sibani, Hamid Reza Khazaei, all scored in for Iran.

I’m very satisfied with our preparations and administrations in the invitational games in Taipei, I hope participants can do the best during the 2009 Summer Deaflympics in the future.

After the “Invitational Games for the Deaf, Taipei 2008”, Chih-he Chen, President of Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation, presented an honor medal for the soccer tournament during the closing ceremony and hoped the Taipei City Government will show the best service for the 2009 Summer Deaflympics.

Only nations who won at least one medal are listed.

Make Soy Candles Meet The Wax Manufacturers}

Make Soy Candles Meet the Wax Manufacturers

by

Mary Martha Deane

There are numerous waxes that you can use for candlemaking. Of these, soy is one that has arrived relatively recent on the scene. At present, there are a limited number of primary soybean wax producers: This article highlights Natures Gifts International, Inc. and Golden Brands, LLC.

Nature’s Gifts International (NGI)

One supplier of soybean wax is Natures Gifts International (NGI). They incorporated in 1999 and are headquartered in Maryville, Tennessee. Up until 2002, the used the brand name Ecowax. Their current brand name is EcoSoya.

They advertise that their soy waxes are engineered via their trademarked Molecular Blueprinting to control polymorphism. (Polymorphs are solids that have the same chemical makeup but different crystal structure. With regards to lipids, of which wax is one, polymorphism refers to how the lipid molecules line up for example in layers, tubes or blocks. Chocolate is a well known substance with polymorphism. Thats why you have to temper chocolate – to get it to solidify to the structure that provides the best shine and snap. The keyword here is solidify. Even if you do start with solid soy wax that has a particularly consistent crystal structure, it all disappears once the wax is melted. Therefore, I do not see what the benefits are of starting with a wax of a particular morphology.)

NGIs soybean wax and soybean wax blend offerings for container candles are as follows:

EcoSoya CB-XceL; 100% soy; Melting point is 125 F (51.7 C)

ExoSoya CBAdvanced Soy; soy blend; Melting point is 111 F (43.9 C)

EcoSoya CB-135; soy blend; melting point is 122 (50 C)

NGI sells a soyblend for molded candles, EcoSoya PB. It has a melting temperature of 130 F (54.4 C)

Finally, NGI sells a wax formulated specifically for priming wicks. It is called Eco-Wick Wax, and its melting point is 175 F (79.4 C).

Golden Brands, LLC

Another company that is a primary supplier of soybean wax is Golden Brands, LLC. As is stated on their website, this soywax supplier had a fascinating origin.

Golden Brands was established in 1982 by a local group of private investors and their families, each of which are very professional and successful entrepreneurs. With backgrounds ranging from real estate development to founders of several fast foods restaurant chains to engineering and even a professional football star, how could this group be anything but successful? Their common thread is their roots and belief in their Louisville community.

Their primary business is making shortening for the food industry. They began to manufacture soybean wax in 2000.

Golden Brands Product, GW416, is a natural soy tart wax, that is formulated for making tarts or for hardening other waxes. The melting point of GW416 is 130-135 F (54.4 57.2 C)

The rest of Golden Brands soybean waxes and wax blends are formulated for container candles. These waxes and their respective melting points are as follows:

GW402 115-120 F (46.1-48.9 C) pure soy wax

GW415 120-125 F (48.9-51.7 C) pure soy wax

GW464 113-119 F (45.0-48.3 C) soy blend

GW444 119-125 F (48.3-51.7 C) soy blend

GW435 120-125 F (48.9-51.7 C) soy and cotton blend

This article has focused on two of the primary manufacturing companies of soybean wax. There are a variety of other soy wax manufacturing companies who do not do primary manufacturing. That is they do not extract the oil from the soybean. Instead they would start with soybean wax as a raw material to make their own wax blends.

Mary Martha Deane is the Queen of Candle Making. She knows more about making candles than most people can imagine. She thinks that Candle Making is a fantastic hobby, both for those who consider themselves creative, as well as for those folks who dont yet know how creative they are. Learn more about

Colleges offering admission to displaced New Orleans students/AL-KY

See the discussion page for instructions on adding schools to this list and for an alphabetically arranged listing of schools.

Due to the damage by Hurricane Katrina and subsequent flooding, a number of colleges and universities in the New Orleans metropolitan area will not be able to hold classes for the fall 2005 semester. It is estimated that 75,000 to 100,000 students have been displaced. [1]. In response, institutions across the United States and Canada are offering late registration for displaced students so that their academic progress is not unduly delayed. Some are offering free or reduced admission to displaced students. At some universities, especially state universities, this offer is limited to residents of the area.
